Juneteenth Fest began in 2024 as Juneteenth Fest of the Pee Dee, the flagship celebration of BlaCoLive Cooperative- Collaborative event planning . What started as a single community festival aiming to create a platform for community to shine, quickly grew into a movement. After its inaugural year, the celebration expanded into an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring freedom, empowering communities, and strengthening connection across the Pee Dee and beyond.

While “Fest” originally stood for “Festival,” it now represents Festivities, reflecting our commitment to year-round programming.

At our core, Juneteenth Fest exists to celebrate freedom while promoting and supporting a more connected, empowered, and progressive America. Through unique events, educational programs, and creative expression, we honor and uplift community doers and creators.
